World Superbikes - Silverstone 25th-27th May 2007

Slip sliding at Silverstone in the rain !!!!!!!!

This weekend we were at Silverstone photographing the World Superbikes. The season has started well for Britians James Toseland and the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team. James lead the championship going into the weekend, by a clear 35 points despite his closest rival Nori Haga taking an impressive race winning double at Monza two weeks ago.

Saturdays practice and superpole qualifying in near perfect conditions, saw the usual suspects on the pace from the word go.

Defending champion Troy Bayliss seemingly fully recovered from his injuries at Donnington Park at the end of March (including the loss of most of his little finger on his right hand) set a new lap record and took pole position for Sundays races.Troy Bayliss WBSK Silverstone 2007

Brides to Be sessions

Wednesday, March 21st, 2007

Last week we shot a whole day of our increasingly popular brides to be sessions. This time we used the Alexander House Spa and Hotel West Sussex as the location for the shoots.

The Spa boasts three pools all with their unique features, all waiting to be discovered or pamper yourself and relax in our changing suites, each with its own steam room, sauna and monsoon showers. A subterranean setting of the pools with their stone columns and domed ceilings are truly what a spa is all about - water and relaxation.

For our shoots we used one of the deluxe Spa suites which are located directly above the spa. The photographs from the days shoot were great and we have had some brilliant feed back from all those involved.

We will not be posting any photographs from the shoots here - but if you’d like book in for our next Brides to be day or you would like some more information or would like to see some of the bridal books, just contact the studio - but don’t leave it too long as these day book up very quickly!

Toni & Guy competition shoot

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Last week we had a bit of variety in the studio as we were asked to shoot some photographs for Toni & Guy Knightsbridge - who were entering a Wella colouring competition.

Here’s a few pictures of what we came up with.

The background colours and accesories were chooen to complement the hair colouring.

Control of lighting is very important with these types of shoots.

No retouching is allowed, so these photographs are “straight” out of the camera.

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Last Sunday, Mark was invited to attend the Alexander House Hotel & Spa
open day.

View of Alexander House

Alexander House Hotel & Spa is a 17th century mansion set in 170 acres of grounds in rural Sussex. It has been home to some of England’s most famous families including that of the poet Shelley.

The Main House is a beautifully kept 17th Century Mansion set in 170 acres of stunning gardens and parklands, including the rose garden and a conifer tree planted by the late HRH The Queen Mother.

Mark is the recommeded photographer for Alexander House and the picture below show our”stand” for the day - we would normally use our “gallery style” display for events such as this, however due to space constraints we were limited to our table setup. (more…)

Monday 27th November.

Today was the date arranged for the Fashion shoot at Alexander House Turners Hill West Sussex in conjunction with La Vida boutique of Horsham. Hair and Make up by Shona and Pete of Toni & Guy Knightsbridge.

An early start enabled us to get to Alexander House for a 9.30am start. The plan for the day was to shoot fourteen dresses, using three models and four different locations within the hotel.

The following pictures show some of the “behind the scenes” action together with on or two finished pictures.

Cuban Highlights 5th - 16th November

Monday, November 20th, 2006

It has been a very busy year here at the studio and at Jackies insistance, Mark and Jackie managed to take a short break between weddings and visited the island of Cuba for a much deserved break.

The following gives an insight into our recent trip. I’ll post more of the photographs on the online viewing section early next week when I’ve had a chance to catch up with my work.
They spent a couple of nights at the Hotel National de Cuba followed by a bit of RnR at the Seebreezes Jibercoa.
We left the UK bright and early Sunday morning up at 4.30am for a 5.30am depart for the airport. The nice clear skies of the UK…………………………….
