The trio of Kast Off Kinks members comprise, bass player John Dalton (June 66, officially joined, 1969-78), drummer Mick Avory (1964-1987) and keyboard player John Gosling (1970-1978).

The line-up is completed by former Tim Rose sideman Dave Clarke for a best of The Kinks evening.

Somewhat surprisingly, they have more hit records than you remember, such as Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Lola, Sunny Afternoon, Dead End street, Waterloo Sunset and many more and these were all palyed over a two part set.

The Studio has been very busy for the last couple of weeks, but I’m pleased to say we’re up to date - just the blog to catch up on !

Three gigs to catch up on The Red Sox, Carvin Jones Band and Albert Lee Hogans Heros’.

Carvin Jones
Carvin Jones plays a mixture of blues with more than a splattering of Hendrix in his sets. An all round entertainer who spends more time playing in amongst the audience than on stage. A charismatic showmen - with some unique palying moves !

So Saturday night saw us at the end of tour gig for Joe Bonamassa - an up and coming blues man from up state New York who finished his UK tour with a storming gig at Boom Boom Club, Sutton Surrey. this weekend.

Despite suffering from the a heavy cold Joe played a blinding set. This is probably one of the last times we’re likely to see Joe at such an intimate venue, as he is surely destined for much bigger venues.

The support act who’d accompanied Joe throughtout his UK tour was Sole Stone River from Manchester who got the evening off to a lively start.
