On Saturday 29th March Pam again set of with her trusted stand and albums to be part of the prestigious Eltham Palace open day in Greenwich.
This English Heritage sight is quite magnificent and we are honoured to be part of the recommended photographers for weddings held there. In fact our new studio album is of the wedding of the beautiful Malene and her gorgeous husband Shariff. This new book caused quite a stir among the visitors and staff which comments such as ’stunning’ and ‘wow’ uttered often.
Because MHP Studios have photographed many weddings at this venue we are able to show prospective Eltham Palace wedding clients what the various rooms will look like and have a variety of images to show them.
Many thanks go to Nicola and Nathalie who looked after us so well and were very complimentary about our photography.
On Sunday 16th March Pam travelled to East Grinstead, West Sussex to the lovely wedding venue which is the Felbridge Hotel.
During the day Kelly and her dedicated team hosted their bi-annual wedding Fayre. The event had been advertised on local radio and although the day was dull and rainy, many brides to be plus their families came to view the refurbished hotel and the very recently finished gardens in the quest of finding the perfect venue for their wedding reception.
MHP Studios were part of many exhibiters who had been invited to the fayre together with a chocolate fountain company(always a popular choice especially with the exhibiters who get to try it out too), classic cars, jewellery companies, cake makers and of course florists.
Many thanks go to the Felbridge Hotel for supplying refreshments throughout the day too. Always much appreciated.
After Mark and Jackie’s successful trip to Australia last October, they are getting their bags ready again to jet off to the annual international event for photographers held in Las Vegas.
WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) is attended each year by more than 6,000 photographers from all around the world.
Conferences, lectues and seminars are held over a four day period, usually starting around 8.00am and finishing at 10.00pm. Exhibitors from around the world use this conference to showcase thier latest products to the world and it’s important that we attend to keep up to date with the latest products and techniques available.
The print competition allows us to compete against the leading photographers in the world - and to date we have fares well - fingers crossed for this year!
In January Mark was asked to photograph a birthday party held in a large Marquee in the grounds of the clients house. It was a 50th birthday celebration and was a themed affair. From the Ice Scupture to the mime artists the occasion was great fun and the event was organised by AB Fab with extravagance and quality.
Many of the guests have ordered photographs from the evening which we were placed on our online gallery on our website for them to view.
It’s been a busy time here at the studio over the last three or four weeks - hence the blog hasn’t been updated recently.
The cut off dates for getting prints back from the lab, getting frames made and our ordering our handmade albums have all passed. As usual there were one or two orders that we’ve managed to squeeze in before the final deadlines.
So what have we been up to ?
We attended the Eltham Palace open day, were all of Eltham Palace’s preferred suppliers are invited to meet prospective bride and grooms who have booked or are planning thier wedding at Eltham Palace.
Eltham Palace is one of our favourite venues to work at, it has fanatastic grounds and stunning interiors, which make an excellent back drop for photography. The open day is a great opportunity to meet couples in a relaxed atmosphere and discuss what the would like from thier wedding photographs.
PS Here’s a link from Bloomsbury Video to one of our wedding we shot at Eltham Palace earlier this year http://www.MaleneandShariffsWedding.com <http://www.maleneandshariffswedding.com
We have been busy in the studio photographing families, babies and couples for Christmas presents. We then have to show clients their photographs, order the prints and frames and assemble these ready for collection.
We’ve shot the front cover for a new and soon to be released fashion magazine. We’ll post more on this once the first edition is out.
We’ll update you with some more information later- but for now it’s back to work!
Exciting news!
Mark has been awarded the prestigious ‘Events Photographer of the Year 2007′ by the Master Photography Association.
The shot that won Mark this ‘Gong’ was a stunning moving motorbike image of Valentino Rossi taken at Donnington Park this year.
Due to Mark being away on vacation, his assistant Pam had the pleasure of travelling to Newcastle to the black tie awards event staged at the Hilton Hotel, to collect the award from Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet Fame.

Last Sunday Mark had a very busy day at the Alexander House. We were asked to be part of their Open Day that was held in partnership with ‘Your Sussex Weddings’ magazine. The beautiful venue and lovely day brought in many visitors. The eyecatching stand of MHP Studios caught the attention of many a ‘bride to be’ and Mark found that the day went by very quickly.
Amazing, stunning, exquisite !!
Just a few of the words used to describe the new photographs on our stand at the Hawth wedding fayre last weekend.
Come along and see for yourself as we’ve been invited to attend the Alexander House / Your Sussex wedding fayre on Sunday 23rd September 10.30am - 4.00pm at the Alexander House Hotel.
After the wedding of Michala and Damion, we set off on an exhausting five hour drive to the Bennetts British Superbikes Championship in Cadwell Park. Arriving at our hotel for an overnight stay I was keen to make an early start having never photographed at Cadwell Park before. I set off in good time to have a look at the best vantage points for photographing the racing.
The circuit is tight and twisty and has a section called the mountain where the bikes actually take off over the top of it.
Photos from the weekend can be seen in the gallery.
