Bank holiday weekend was spent at Brands Hatch photographing the opening round of this years British Superbikes. The first round last year at Brands had to be rescheduled as the meeting was snowed off – surely things would be better this year??

Well the british weather lived up to its reputation and we were treated to heavy fog on two of the four day meeting!

Five of the top riders from last year had moved onto to World Superbikes and World Supersports, so there were many new faces (as well as a few old ones!) on show this weekend.

One of the new faces was Sylvain Guintoli – fresh from Moto GP – his class certainly shone through taking victory in race one on his debut in BSB he then followed this with a second place in race two. This combined with taking pole position marks him out as an early contender for this years title.
